For those travelling to Siwa, it is wise to look at it as a pilgrimage between the now and the past. The road to Siwa is long and bumpy, scattered with safety check points along the way. Life is our teacher and provides us ample opportunities and lessons to step out of our comfort zone to grow and expand. In my experience and perspective the way to siwa mirrors that on the road of healing it can feel like a never ending journey filled with roadblocks and setbacks. However at each setback we breathe and take a moment to look back at the progress we are making and how far we have come.
On the long road forward with the dessert hugging you on either side as you are transported through time and space, set an intention of what it is you would like to experience and focus on during your initiation into Siwa. As you enter the landscape of Siwa it is a nice reminder that all of us from across the globe are navigating the changes at hand, the influence of other cultures, countries and technologies and how that can reshape a way of life. It is this pivotal point where old meets new where the bridge of Kun preserver of the past and the weaver of the future comes in.
